What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Behavior Technician position at William S. Hart Union High School District?
Provides a variety of specialized duties which support and serve students who require Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies and Discrete Trial Training (DTT) School and/or Home Programs; assists with functional assessments and the creation of behavior plans; provides parent and teacher training; and performs related work as required. High School diploma or equivalent and completion of at least two years of study at an institution of higher learning or attainment of an Associates Degree in a related field, such as psychology or child development. Two years of directly related experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Multiple Disabilities, Emotional Disturbance or Mental Disabilities. A minimum of 40 hours of direct instruction in Applied Behavior Analysis.
Licenses and Certificates:
Valid California driver’s license. Crisis Prevention Intervention and Applied Assaultive Training Certificates will be required before start of assignment. Completion of District sponsored two-day Autism training. Valid first aid and CPR certificates. Registered Behavior Technician certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
