Description
We are hiring HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic's to work in the Jacksonville, Florida and the surrounding area. This role will need to be able to fabricate, assemble, install and repair sheet metal products and equipment, such as ducts, control boxes, drain pipes, and furnaces casings. They will perform commercial maintenance, diagnosis and repair of refrigeration systems in grocery stores and other commercial businesses.
- Layout and Install HVAC sheet metal and duck work for new construction/remodel/renovation projects per the plan specifications
- Repair existing duct systems and equipment using hand and power tools
- Accept, unload, and store material and equipment deliveries in a safe and productive manner
- Must be flexible - schedule consists of work days, nights and out of town
- Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards
- Provide sheet metal and duckwork project support and ensure a timely and quality completion of the project
Requirements
HVAC Mechanic Job Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED
- 3 years of commercial HVAC sheet metal duck work experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to operate smartphone technology, hand tools and power tools
- Able to read instructions and blueprints and follow safety procedures
- Must have a valid Drivers License & reliable transportation
- Legally eligible to work in the US
- Pre-employment background screening (criminal, drug screen and DMV) is required for all positions
