Position Summary
The RN Weekend Supervisor plays a vital role in overseeing resident care and coordinating services across all shifts during weekends. This position ensures that residents receive timely, appropriate, and compassionate care while maintaining compliance with policies and clinical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate regularly with residents and families regarding care plans, therapy, and treatment protocols
- Monitor and respond to changes in resident conditions; adjust care plans accordingly
- Participate in morning meetings and support effective communication across the care team
- Coordinate all weekend admissions, discharges, and care transitions
- Oversee documentation, chart reviews, and utilization review activities
- Serve as a liaison between residents, staff, third-party payers, and external providers
- Coordinate referrals and maintain compliance with facility policies and regulatory guidelines
- Promote a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and clinical excellence
- Active RN license in the State of California (LVNs may be considered)
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Social Work preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in post-acute or long-term care
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, and Medicaid programs
- Familiarity with PointClickCare (PCC) electronic medical records
- Strong communication, clinical judgment, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Case Manager Certification (CCM) is a plus
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and frequently walk, stand, and reach
- Work involves occasional bending, kneeling, or crouching
- Ability to work in a moderate-noise, indoor healthcare environment
- Must be able to handle emotionally challenging situations with professionalism and care
- Competitive starting rate of $45/hour
