Willow Tree and Landscaping Service, established in 1983 in Abington, Pennsylvania, is seeking a dedicated Plant Health Care Technician to join our expanding team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about tree and plant health, who enjoy working outdoors, and take pride in maintaining beautiful landscapes. As a key member of our team, you will apply treatments, diagnose plant health issues, and contribute to the long-term care and beauty of trees and landscapes. Our team consists of certified arborists and life-long nature enthusiasts who are dedicated to their craft.

Responsibilities

  • Identify various trees, shrubs, pests, and diseases to determine proper treatment plans.
  • Apply eco-friendly treatments such as fertilization, soil amendments, and pest/disease control.
  • Perform deep root injections, soil compaction alleviation, and watering as needed.
  • Operate and maintain specialized PHC equipment, including air spades and root pruners.
  • Conduct daily inspections of equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and functionality.
  • Follow all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain detailed records of pesticide applications, work logs, and customer interactions.
  • Interact professionally with clients, providing education on tree and plant health.
  • Identify opportunities for additional services and assist in scheduling treatments.

Qualifications

  • Experience in plant health care, tree care, landscaping, or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Strong knowledge of tree and shrub identification, or willingness to learn.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to follow precise directions and safety procedures.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Valid drivers license required; CDL preferred.
  • Background check and drug screening required
