ABOUT THE JOB :
The primary focus of this position is to support and manage our customer applications, primarily Salesforce and CPQ. As a Salesforce Developer Manager, you will be responsible for managing the entire implementation process, from planning and design to deployment and maintenance.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, integration, and customization capabilities. In addition, the candidate should have strong leadership and project management skills. This role will advise in matters of best practices and recommended solutions regarding the customer applications suite.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING :
Principal Responsibilities :
- Manage and lead the CRM Implementation Team in designing, developing, and setting new functionality releases driven by the requirements from our business partners.
- Assist with managing the development team from our third party vendors
- Oversee Salesforce and CPQ Support as well as the third-party integrated applications
- Groom and refine product backlog along with the team and the Technical Analysts.
- Create and manage technical documentation as required
- Formulate and refine tactics to enable metadata as part of the source code and facilitate Continuous Integration / Delivery processes
- Accountable for overseeing the entire release / deployment cycle, encompassing tasks such as creating release documentation, managing change control, ensuring release readiness, and verifying compliance with pre-deployment criteria
- Responsible for conducting design and technical code reviews, ensuring quality and adherence to standards and best practices
- Work with the Development Team to sustain acceptable levels of test coverage in Salesforce and troubleshoot any deployment errors
- Monitor all lower Salesforce environments (Sandboxes), overseeing the release process, and coordinating the synchronization of sandbox metadata and relevant datasets
- Establish Data, Technical, and System Governance and assist with migration efforts.
- The Salesforce Developer Manager will contribute to the CRM Product Strategy and Roadmap in collaboration with our Business Support Team and the Senior IT leadership.
- Advocate the adoption of CRM related tools and identify technical or process enhancements that will increase operational efficiencies.
- Keep up to date with the new Salesforce releases and new features.
