.60 FTE Physical Education and Health Teacher

The successful candidate will: •Plan and implement the physical education & health curriculum for grades 4-5 •Evaluate individual students using department-developed common assessment tools, maintain up-to-date records of student progress •Collaborate with members of the PreK-12 Physical Education & Health department to review, develop and execute a rigorous district curriculum aligned to state standards; including development and facilitation of MARC and Human Growth and Development Units. •Create a positive, inviting, and safe learning environment while modeling enthusiasm for learning •Develop, model, and practice class procedures and routines •Modify instructional practices to meet individual student needs •Communicate high expectations to all learners, as well as realistic and consistent expectations for student behavior and applies appropriate consequences
