Landscape Associate - Full Time

Wilson Creek Winery & Vineyards is currently looking for a full time Landscape Associate in Temecula, CA. 

Position Summary:

Under general supervision, the Landscape Associate is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and cleanup of the outdoor grounds at Wilson Creek Winery. 

This is a full-time, on-site role in Temecula, California.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist facilities staff/management with day to day on site cleanup to include trash pickup, arranging tables and chairs, and watering plants.
• Pruning and trimming plant material as needed.
• Maintain irrigation system.
• Install plant material as needed.
• Install light landscape accents as needed.
• Help with facilities and construction projects.
• Perform other duties as requested.

What It Takes To Succeed:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• One (1) year’s previous landscape installation and/or landscape maintenance experience.
• Ability to withstand a demanding physical environment.
• Experience with plant material and irrigation equipment.
• Chemical/fertilizer application certified preferred. 
• Multiple tractor/equipment knowledge.
• Basic Mechanical ability.

Physical Demands: 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is most often required to stand and walk on stairs, grass, and the entire property of the winery. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision to distance.

This is a highly physical position which requires strength, endurance, and the ability to stand, kneel, and reach continuously throughout each workday.

Work Environment

This position requires working inside, outside, in attics, tight spaces, and extreme weather.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
