We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Survey Technician to join our team. The Survey Technician will assist in conducting land surveys and preparing survey reports, maps, and drawings. This role requires proficiency in using surveying instruments and software, as well as strong analytical and organizational skills.
We are seeking an experienced Survey Technician to join our team. This position is 40 hours per week in our Minden or Reno offices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting field surveys and collecting data using GPS, total stations, and other surveying equipment.
- Prepare survey drawings, maps, and reports using CAD and other software tools.
- Analyze survey data and ensure accuracy and completeness of information.
- Collaborate with surveyors, engineers, and other team members to support project requirements.
- Maintain and calibrate surveying instruments and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during fieldwork.
- Document and archive survey records and project files.
- Associate degree or certification in surveying, geomatics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Survey Technician or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in CAD software and surveying tools.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to field sites.
