What are the responsibilities and job description for the MEDICAL CLAIMS ADJUSTER position at Wilson-McShane Corp?
Wilson-McShane Corporation is seeking a full-time Medical Claims Adjuster to join our Downers Grove, IL office. As a Medical Claims Adjuster, you have a direct impact on the participants and families of the plans we administer by ensuring their claims are processed timely and accurately.
The schedule for this position is 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday with a compensation of $26.50 per hour.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
- Processes medical and short-term disability claims.
- Answers high volume telephone calls from participants and providers with benefit questions.
- Meets with participants on a regular basis to answer benefit questions.
- Follow all HIPAA compliance guidelines to ensure protection of participant protected health information.
- Other duties as assigned
The Claims Adjuster position is a non-exempt position and includes benefits such as the following:

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years claims paying experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as Summary Plan Description and procedure manuals.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Quick learner of other computer applications.
- Bi-lingual in English/Spanish preferred
