What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembler position at Winchester Interconnect Corporation?
What we’re looking for:
We have an exciting opportunity for assemblers on the first shift. (7:30 am - 4:00 pm)

What is the assembler Accountable for?
- Attaches cable or wire to components or plugs by soldering and/or crimping
- Cuts and prepares cable or wire to specified lengths using either hand or automated tools
- Able to use measuring tools and equipment in order to meet required tolerances
- Ensures quality of work meets all required specifications
How does the assembler Collaborate?
The assembler position maintains communication with production managers, production leads, and fellow associates in order to maximize quality and output.What is the assembler Empowered to do?
- Effective communications skills
- Ensure safe work practices and adherence to established safety procedures
- Ensure quality of work meets all required specifications
- Drive for continuous improvement
Criteria for Success:
- Mechanical ability
- Read measuring tools
- Ability to read/write work instructions, specifications
- One or more years in a Wire and Cable Assembly Manufacturing environment is a plus
- IPC-620, and J-STD-001 certification is a plus
