Point of Sale Inventory Management/Administrative Office Clerk

The position offers a $13.00 hourly wage including paid holidays and vacation after 1 year. Company paid employee health insurance available upon completion of 60 days employment.

The work week is Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Job location is Huntsville, AL.

The candidate will be assisting the current Inventory Manager and Office Assistant and learn all aspects of the job. Mastering this position will lead to taking over for the current Inventory Manager and Office Assistant once she retires in the future. Assisting with inputting weekly orders will be required. You will learn experience with point-of-sale and inventory systems in a retail environment. You will learn how a store operates to better assist you with your day to day duties. You will learn experience with Counterpoint (NCR) point of sale and inventory system. Regardless of experience in point-of-sale, inventory systems, or Counterpoint (NCR) the candidate will be required to work seamlessly with current staff to learn systems, processes, and procedures, and a semi-annual physical inventory editing and posting in the system. Working well with others and maintaining a positive attitude and work environment is required.

The position requires using Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and Excel. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask while managing a multilocation retail business inventory system is the basis of the position.

Candidate must be willing to interact with multiple store managers and general managers as well as multiple vendors. Communication and dependability are imperative.

Other daily requirements of the position are as follows: filing, running reports, ordering supplies, email- sending and receiving, answering phone calls, preparing memos, maintaining records, preparing any special requests for information as needed.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
