Purpose
The Restaurant Floor Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring smooth operations, exceptional service, and a positive dining experience for all Members and ·guests at our restaurant. Reporting to the F&B Manager, the Floor Supervisor will lead the front-of-house {FOH) team, manage day-to-day restaurant floor operations, and ensure effective communication with the back-of-house (BOH) team. The position also includes administrative responsibilities such as managing the point of sale (POS) system, assisting with inventory control, and ordering bar and FOH supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Floor Management: Oversee and manage the restaurant floor, ensuring service runs efficiently while maximizing revenue opportunities.
- Service Excellence: Ensure all Members and their guests receive the highest level of service, anticipating needs, and responding promptly to requests.
- Team Leadership: Lead the FOH team by example with a hands-on approach, providing ongoing support and fostering a positive team environment.
- Training & Development: Support and deliver effective training programs, ensuring all FOH team members are fully trained in all aspects of the restaurant.
- Complaint Resolution: Handle any complaints with professionalism and ensure that all Members and their guests leave with a positive and satisfactory dining experience and rectify any issues as needed.
- FOH-BOH Coordination: Maintain clear communication between the FOH and BOH teams to ensure smooth service throughout all shifts.
- Administrative Support: Assist the F&B Manager with administrative duties such as organizing holidays, planning special events, and managing daily operational tasks.
- POS System Management: Maintain and troubleshoot the restaurant's point of sale (POS) database, ensuring smooth transaction processes, reporting and up-to-date inventory.
- Inventory & Ordering: Assist with inventory management, placing orders for the bar and FOH supplies to ensure proper stock levels are maintained.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a restaurant.
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems and inventory management, specifically JONAS
- Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
- Ability to work well under pressure and always maintain professionalism.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team and work well with other team members.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to bend, stoop, climb stairs, twist, kneel, lift, push, and pull items weighing 55lbs. Must be able to stand and continuously move throughout the workday. Must be willing to work outdoors and be comfortable in varying weather.
