What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Development Coordinator position at Windsor Health and Rehabilitation Center?

Our SDC has a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:

  • Reviewing training materials such as manuals, handbooks, and other materials to ensure they are up-to-date with company policies and procedures
  • Interviews, hiring and orientation
  • Coordinating training programs that include classroom instruction, e-learning courses, or on-the-job training
  • Monitoring attendance at training sessions to ensure that all employees attend
  • Developing and implementing training programs that are aligned with organizational goals and objectives
  • Ensuring that all training is done in accordance with federal and state laws regarding discrimination in employment practices
  • Assisting human resources staff in performing background checks on prospective employees prior to hiring them
  • Creating and maintaining employee records such as training certificates, attendance sheets, and training evaluations
  • Coordinating with external training providers to develop custom training programs for specific groups within the organization

v Minimum requirements include the following:

· A nursing degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved LPN/RN program.

· Two years of experience as an LPN/RN.

· Eligible to participate in federally funded health care programs.

v Must also meet state requirements for relevant licensures or certifications and have no disciplinary action in effect against professional license.

v Extensive knowledge of current standards of practice and the rules, regulations, and laws related to the long-term care industry. Ability to teach this knowledge to others.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $68,519.00 - $80,000.00 per year

  • 8 hour shift
