JOB PURPOSE 

The Shipper is responsible for accurately sending and recording the movement of parts, supplies, raw materials, equipment, and stock to designated customers. This role is essential to maintaining efficient shipping operations and ensuring customer satisfaction. 

STRUCTURE 

The Shipper reports directly to the Warehouse Team Lead and the Warehouse Supervisor. They will collaborate closely with other warehouse staff and team members to meet operational goals and uphold company standards. 

RESPONSIBILITY 

• Pick and pack products accurately, and process orders in the computer system. 

• Retrieve and transmit customer orders, ship notices, and related documents electronically. 

• Coordinate custom orders and process shipments to identified customers as directed by the supervisor. 

• Complete freight bills, weigh shipments, determine costs, and contact freight companies for pick-ups. 

• Load products for shipment onto courier and delivery trucks. 

• Prepare and complete freight BOLs electronically and/or manually. 

• Provide freight rate/transit quotes and weight dimensions of products. 

• Load packed orders onto outgoing freight vehicles. 

• Maintain a clean and safe immediate workspace. 

• Follow all safety regulations and report hazards, injuries, and accidents to the supervisor immediately. 

• Perform other related duties as assigned. 

• Receive cross-training on other jobs as required. 

• Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures. 

• Communicate regularly with staff regarding shipping priorities, targets, and operational requirements. 

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS 

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. 

• Experience in shipping is considered an asset. 

• 3 years of stock keeping experience is preferred. 

• Reach Truck certification and experience are considered an asset. 

• Ability to operate a forklift is required. 

• Good command of English, both verbal and written. 

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. 

• Adaptability to work in a continuously changing environment. 

• Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision. 

• Basic math skills and familiarity with measurements in all units of measure. 

• Good computer skills and mathematical aptitude. 

• Ability to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods. 

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. 

• Capability to perform physical activities such as standing, kneeling, and walking. 

• Steel toe boots required. 

• Comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental Policies. 

• Safety glasses, back braces, regulated safety knives, and gloves provided.
