Guest Service Representative
The Wingate by Wyndham Macon is looking for highly motivated and energetic individuals to join our Front Desk team to help create a pleasant and memorable stay for our guests. The Guest Service Representative must genuinely enjoy being around people, be a quick learner and be able to multi-task & prioritize. Must be able to work independently and in a team setting.
Responsibilities:
· Greet, register and assign rooms to guests
· Resolve all guest concerns/issues in a professional and courteous manner
· Answer telephone inquiries, make new reservations and provide exceptional customer service
· Liaise with the housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate guests’ needs
· Ensure the lobby, breakfast and public areas are clean and tidy all while adhering to the Covid guidelines
· Assist the General Manager with room setups for conferences, trainings, meetings and events at the Hotel
· Upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate
· Complete all tasks and duties on the shift checklist in a timely and efficient manner
Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred)
· Excellent communication skills
· Positive, can-do attitude
· Previous hotel front desk experience is a plus
· Minimum of 3 months experience in hospitality, general office, accounts receivable or customer service areas
· Computer savvy
Ability to work flexible and long hours (at times)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.51 - $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
