As a Teller, you will serve as the first point of contact for customers at our financial institution. Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments with accuracy.
- Maintain a balanced cash drawer and ensure compliance with all security procedures.
- Provide information on various financial services and products, assisting customers in making informed decisions.
- Upsell relevant financial products to customers based on their needs and preferences.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to enhance customer experience.
- Utilize financial software to record transactions and manage accounts efficiently.
- Assist in the training of new staff members as needed.
- Stay informed about current promotions, services, and policies to effectively communicate with customers.
Experience
- Prior experience in a retail or banking environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong understanding of debits and credits, basic math skills, and retail math principles.
- Familiarity with financial services, loan origination processes, and financial sales techniques is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using cash registers and financial software systems is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
