Position Summary
The Factory Service Parts Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the Retail Lobby and Rear Counter areas, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient workflow, and adherence to company standards. This role includes staff training, inventory management, sales oversight, and process improvement to support a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Staff Leadership & Training
- Oversee training for Retail Lobby staff, Rear Counter staff, and Parts Runner.
- Lead by example and reinforce personnel expectations, including Code of Conduct and Dress Code.
- Conduct annual performance reviews, set individual and team goals, and determine merit increases.
- Coordinate fair distribution of workload across departments 040 and 042.
- Customer Experience
- Ensure proper stocking of customer amenities in the Retail Lobby.
- Oversee retail sales activities and identify sales opportunities, including supplier promotions during rallies.
- Inventory & Purchasing
- Assist in decisions regarding excess and obsolete inventory.
- Support determination of proper inventory levels for commonly used items.
- Oversee cycle counting and auditing of Factory Service perpetual inventory.
- Approve NPNU purchases and ensure accurate documentation of NPNU orders and part notes in the SWMU system.
- Assist in maintaining order points for inventory.
- Process & System Management
- Develop and maintain procedures to ensure smooth workflow and clear role responsibilities.
- Oversee annual security protocols for SWMU and SVMU systems.
- Maintain Freightliner security in Paragon.
- Support development and implementation of D365, Salesforce, and R2 systems.
- Safety & Compliance
- Maintain a strong focus on safety in all aspects of operations.
- Communication
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications
- Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in parts, retail, or service operations, with supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in inventory control processes and retail sales strategies.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (D365), CRM tools (Salesforce), and related technology.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions regarding inventory and workflow.
