WinnMed is seeking to hire a full time Central Sterile Technician to join our Surgery Department. The Central Sterile Technician is a trained individual who demonstrates competence in the decontamination, processing, sterilization and distribution of equipment and supplies for in-hospital use, is responsible for following the manufacturers; recommendations for sterilization, and follows departmental procedures (Polices and Procedures). The Central Sterile Technician will be responsible for the processing of reusable medical supplies and instrumentation which includes decontamination, assembly, terminal sterilization and sterile storage delivery to end users. Position is Full Time, 40 hours per week. Monday - Friday, 10:00 am - 6:30 pm. No weekends, no holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Iowa required
- Certification in sterile processing such as Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) required within 1 year
- Previous healthcare experience preferred
- BLS certification required within 1 month of hire
- Microsoft Word & Excel knowledge and experience preferred
- Customer service and Organization skills required
