Under the leadership of the Director for Student Success and/or Dean for Student Success, provides enrollment, academic advising, and retention support services for a diverse student population. The enrollment, advisement, and retention processes include, but are not limited to, orienting students to Wiregrass’s academic structure and policies; assisting prospects and students with admissions processes, registration related issues and processes, comprehensive academic planning, and financial aid; and referring students to professional support services offered through Wiregrass and the service area. Student Success Coordinators also function as part of a team to serve students assigned by academic programs. The successful candidate will coordinate campus-based and online new student orientation activities and participate in recruitment activities.

Wiregrass Georgia Technical College seeks to recruit, hire, and retain faculty and staff who display a willingness to support students of underrepresented gender and minority groups, as well as students with disabilities. SUMMARY OF WORKING CONDITIONS

• Equipment Used: Standard office equipment.
• Working Conditions: Category III - No foreseen exposure to hazardous chemicals/pathogens. Probability of working beyond the normal shift, but not frequently. Periodic travel between major Wiregrass campuses and satellite sites.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a closely related field *and* Two (2) years of experience in an educational environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
NOTE: **Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-to-year basis.**

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
In addition to meeting all other minimum qualifications, the highly desired candidate will possess one or more of the following: Master’s Degree in related field. Knowledge of and experience with BANNER, Degree Works, Target X, and Navigate. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Prior experience serving as an academic advisor in a post-secondary educational setting.

SALARY/BENEFITS
Salary is $43,500/yr. This position is full‐time and includes standard State of GA benefits such as leave accrual, options for health & other supplemental benefits, and retirement. This position may qualify the successful candidate for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.

BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS
Pursuant to college policy, a thorough background investigation, including a criminal history records check and employment history reference checks will be performed for all candidates offered employment. Other checks such as Motor Vehicle Records may be conducted for any candidate receiving an offer, as well as internal candidates prior to being promoted or transferred into a position with the college. Other Required Tests: No additional tests are required for this position.
