Position Summary:
Th QA Manager is a hands-on leader with a strong background in quality assurance and quality control in a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for details and consistent study on quality-related issues. This position will work cross-functionally with the operations team to ensure the quality programs and procedures are of the highest standards.
Responsibilities:
- Define and documents manufacturing procedures to ensure consistent product quality.
- Ensure products consistently meet or exceed performance criteria.
- Establish and maintain quality specifications for all raw and finished goods.
- Identify and manage product and facility quality issues. Perform root cause analysis and develop robust preventive measures.
- Work closely with the Operations team to facilitate consistency in product quality.
- Define and implement testing parameters and procedures required to ensure product quality.
- Identify opportunities to improve product and process quality, consistency, and performance. Actively promote continuous improvement.
- Facilitate QA team meetings and training sessions to ensure compliance with plant and safety, Food Safety, GMP and sanitation regulations.
- Maintain high safety standards, conduct audits, enforce safety policies, and ensure PPE is used.
- Assist in the development of new products and processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field required
- 3 to 5 years of quality management experience
- 3 to 5 years of manufacturing production experience
- 3 to 5 years of food or beverage industry experience
