SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The Quality Engineer is responsible for analyzing manufacturing processes for improvement using various methods of testing and inspection; to work directly with Production Supervisors and other manufacturing personnel to ensure quality of product. This position is a highly visible and responsible role that is accountable to uphold the quality and standards of the organization.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and interpret quality standards for parts.
- Customer liaison for quality related topics.
- Supplier quality liaison for quality related topics.
- Support CI (Continuous Improvement), CAR (Corrective Actions) and QMS (Quality Management System) improvements.
- Perform quality and process product audits.
- Analyze product data.
- Train Team on systems, standards and tools.
- Supports TS16949 and ISO14001 initiatives.
- And, any additional duties that may be assigned by Management.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- BS Degree in business, management or other related discipline.
- At least 3 years progressive experience in Quality. Preferably automotive environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Normal work environment - office, factory and store room with minimal exposure to noise, odors, dust and drafts. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; balance and stoop; and push pull, transfer, move, lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally 35 lbs. The employee must regularly stand; walk and reach with hands and arms.
