Wisconsin Whey Protein provides high quality milk protein ingredients to manufacturers of food and beverage products worldwide. Our products are produced in custom built facilities in Darlington and Turtle Lake Wisconsin.
Immediate Supervisor: Warehouse Manager
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Summary: The warehouse operator will contribute to all operations in the warehouse that include but are not limited to: shipping and receiving, production support, inventory, tanker loading, and sanitation. The hours of operation for the warehouse are 8am – 4pm Monday through Friday.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Operate forklift in a safe and efficient manner.
· Load and unload dry vans, reefers, and containers using forklift or pallet jack.
· Ensure all packaging supplies are continually stocked for production departments.
· Remove finished goods from production lines and store in designated warehouses.
· Accurately pick product for outgoing shipments and assist in load verification.
· Fill hoppers with packaging supplies and ingredients using a hoist.
· Record information into required documents, including equipment inspection, sanitation, and quality control.
· Maintain clean and organized work areas by performing daily and weekly cleaning tasks.
· Comply with all Safe Quality Food (SQF), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
· Report faulty equipment and non-conforming product to management.
· Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
Qualification/ Requirements:
· Must possess or be able to obtain forklift certification. Training and certification is provided on-site.
· Be able to accurately record data and be able to read and understand quality control measures.
· Ability to work independently and in a team setting to complete daily activities according to work schedule.
· Ability to use equipment and tools in a proper and safe manner.
· Must be able to verbally communicate, understand and write in the English language.
· Consistent and punctual attendance required.
· Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Physical Requirements:
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods of time. The employee will be required to have visual acuity to review written documentation, the ability to hear and understand speech, manual dexterity to operate a telephone, and physically bend and stoop.
· Occasionally lift up to 50lbs horizontally and vertically.
The employee is also required to use hands and fingers to operate handles and feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
