What are the responsibilities and job description for the Work Study, Student Ambassador (Student Support Services) position at tri-c?
Learning Objectives:
The TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) program aims to create a greater sense of belonging for first-generation college students. The position requires high level of dependability, compassion and insight into student experiences.
- Propose, develop and/ or present in-person or virtual activities and workshops in coordination with program staff (Open Houses, New Student Orientation; College Resources). Applicants comfortable and skilled with public-speaking are highly desired;
- Learn and understand logistics of event planning, execution, and evaluation of TRIO SSS events;
- Assist students with basic enrollment and registration needs during peak periods;
- Assist with special projects;
- Other duties as assigned.
Preference given to students in the TRIO Student Support Services program and/or first-generation students. Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Facebook, Instagram, Zoom and/or WebEx with a willingness to learn new technology is preferred.
