To maintain, operate, and repair boilers and related equipment to ensure the safe heating of water.
Some of the responsibilities include :
Inspecting equipment : Checking safety devices and ensuring equipment is operating efficiently
Recording data : Keeping logs of operation, maintenance, and safety activity
Troubleshooting : Correcting equipment malfunctions and responding to alarms
Maintaining cleanliness : Keeping the boiler room clean
Testing water : Testing water quality for signs of corrosion and determining water hardness
Ordering parts : Ordering and maintaining supply or replacement parts
