About Your Opportunity:
As a Senior Project Manager, your primary responsibility is to secure and manage project cost, schedule, and performance in alignment with company policies, standards, and goals. Leveraging superior technical expertise, you will engage with customers to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the project plan, sequence, and schedule in collaboration with field personnel.
- Issue project documents, including progress reports, schedule updates, and financial/budget updates.
- Conduct periodic meetings and communication with the project team and customers to address unresolved issues and ensure coordination.
- Monitor project progress, adherence to schedule, and manage man-hour expenditures versus percent complete.
- Re-plan and make corrections/adjustments to maintain schedule; identify causes, advise customers, and negotiate changes in fee.
- Monitor project scope for changes affecting budget and schedule; identify causes, advise customers, and negotiate changes in fee.
- Keep customers informed of project progress, technical issues, and their impact on design and costs.
- Identify solutions to problems that may impede project progress or affect customer relations, involving management when necessary.
- Coordinate with Estimating department on cost and time schedule development, including assembling estimates and soliciting subcontractor quotations.
- Review plans, specifications, and reports with Estimating department staff.
- Participate in contract negotiations and change in scope budgeting with clients, ensuring adherence to contract review and approval procedures.
- Review initial estimate for initial budget upload, coordinating with estimating and accounting departments. Assist with the preparation of the Project Performance Agreement (PPA).
- Facilitate the project procurement process, including interview preparation, staff planning, scheduling, and interviews.
- Manage and develop Project Assistants and Project Engineer(s).
- Review safety requirements in pre-installation planning sessions and conduct site safety inspections.
Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in Construction Technology, Engineering, or related discipline and 7-12 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in construction project management with contract values of $15-50 million and up.
- Experience in multiple disciplines, including project management, estimating, preconstruction services, and construction management.
- OSHA 10 Hour Certification.
- OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR preferred.
- Experience in the sales and marketing process, including making presentations to potential customers.
- Ability to travel and work additional hours when needed to meet business plan goals.
