Carpenter - Formwork/ Concrete
Location: Topeka, KS
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations creating a safe working environment.
- Follow instructions provided by a Foreman with daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or job site.
- Safely work around heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, cranes, etc.
- Safely operate manlifts to perform tasks at various heights.
- Safely perform rigging and signaling when picking items.
- Inspect, maintain, and operate hand tools, power tools, and other various equipment.
- Operate various construction instruments to achieve proper layout and elevation.
- Build and/or erect formwork and falsework for walls, columns, decking, stairs, etc.
- Work as a team member placing concrete, driving piling, installing light gauge steel framing, etc.
- Read, interpret, and follow plans, specifications, and other contract documents.
- Problem solve and provide solutions to common jobsite issues.
- Communicate well with others on the jobsite both verbally and using hand signals.
- Demonstrate a continuous effort to improve operations, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide a quality customer service.
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must have valid email address and phone number
- Must pass pre-employment screening
- Lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Work indoors or outdoors in all types of environments
- Bend, kneel, walk on rough terrain, and climb in and out of equipment and work areas
- Travel periodically
- Work overtime when required
- Work in a team environment
