Attorney, International Private Wealth Disputes

Wolf Global
Miami, FL Contractor
POSTED ON 1/28/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 7/26/2026

The private client disputes practice of Wolf, P.A., together with Wolf Global, represents international families and principals in complex, high-stakes disputes involving private wealth, succession, and cross-border assets. These matters are sensitive, multi-jurisdictional, and often arise following the passing of a founder or patriarch, when control, ownership, and trust fracture simultaneously.

We are seeking an experienced attorney to lead international private wealth disputes for Wolf, P.A., while also conducting investigations in support of litigation as a part of Wolf Global. This is a contract position, with the opportunity for full-time, permanent placement for the right candidate.

The Practice

The disputes in this practice are not institutional, regulatory, or investor-state in nature. They are private conflicts involving high-net-worth families and family-owned businesses, typically centered in the client’s home jurisdiction and extending outward across multiple legal systems.

Matters frequently involve:

  • Succession disputes following the death of a principal
  • Challenges to wills, trusts, and estate planning instruments
  • Allegations of fiduciary breach, fraud, concealment, or misappropriation
  • Corporate disputes over the control of closely-held business
  • Asset tracing and recovery across borders
  • Coordinated proceedings in multiple jurisdictions, including the United States

Clients are non-U.S. based, though assets, records, counterparties, or strategic pressure points are often located in the United States and other key jurisdictions.

The Role

You will lead and coordinate international private wealth disputes, working alongside local counsel in the client’s home jurisdiction and contributing strategic, litigation, and investigative support across forums.

This role requires comfort leading matters in the U.S., while operating in a supporting-but-senior posture that is respectful of local counsel’s primacy in their jurisdiction; adding value through cross-border litigation strategy, investigative expertise, and global coordination.

You should be comfortable:

  • Leading discrete proceedings where appropriate
  • Supporting and strengthening cases led by foreign counsel
  • Designing litigation and evidence strategies that span jurisdictions
  • Integrating investigative findings into legal claims and defenses

Core Responsibilities

  • Disputes leadership and coordination: Lead or support complex civil litigation across jurisdictions; coordinate effectively with foreign counsel and advisors.
  • Cross-border strategy: Design and manage parallel or sequenced proceedings, including U.S.-based and offshore litigation and evidence-gathering in support of foreign matters.
  • Evidence development: Develop proof through both formal discovery and independent investigation; assess, synthesize, and deploy evidence strategically.
  • Private wealth litigation: Architect and litigate claims involving trusts, estates, probate, fiduciary duties, company management and complex corporate disputes, fraud, and asset recovery.
  • Client stewardship: Work directly with principals and families in high-stress, high-expectation matters, delivering precise, responsive, and discreet service.

Qualifications

  • Admitted to practice in New York, the District of Columbia, Florida, or Texas.
  • Meaningful experience litigating complex civil disputes.
  • Exposure to trusts and estates litigation, probate disputes, fiduciary litigation, fraud, or asset recovery, particularly in cross-border contexts.
  • Comfort working with foreign counsel and navigating multi-jurisdictional matters.
  • Ability to integrate litigation with investigations.
  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism in sensitive private client matters.
  • International outlook and comfort working with non-U.S. clients.

The Platform

Wolf Global operates at the intersection of law, investigations, and strategy. This role requires being able to straddle Wolf, P.A.’s private client disputes practice and Wolf Global’s investigations practice.
