EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services related field preferred. Training and work history will be considered.
- Experience working with diverse populations preferred.
- Experience dealing with individuals in residential settings or crisis situations.
- Act 33/34/FBI Clearances upon hire.
GENERAL DUTIES:
- Responsible for participating in a shift schedule for a residential facility for domestic violence victims, homeless women, and their children. Works independently during some shifts.
- Provide empowerment based, client-centered crisis counseling, goal planning, and advocacy.
- Develop and facilitate self-care activities, educational groups, and workshops for shelter residents.
- Respond to 24-hour helpline and provide helpline callers with information and crisis intervention.
- Complete shelter intake and exit interviews during shift coverage.
SALARY & BENEFITS
- $21 an hour plus $1.50 shift differential; 40 hours a week
