What are the responsibilities and job description for the LEN GROUNDS KEEPER position at Woodgrain?
The Grounds Keeper will be responsible to keep our facility’s ground functionally and aesthetically sound. The technician will maintain lawns, trees, shrubs, and paths. The technician will employ insecticides, chemical sprays, fertilizers, and mulches to optimize condition of greenery. Also, responsible for keeping the facility free from trash, litter, debris, weeds, and harmful insects.
- Perform facilities maintenance with limited supervision.
- Maintain lawns, trees, shrubs and paths.
- Operating and maintaining hand tools, such as shovels and saws efficiently.
- Utilizing insecticides, fertilizers, and chemical sprays to treat diseases.
- Keeping grounds free from trash, litter and debris, and emptying trash receptacles.
- Responsible for the care, safe and efficient, use and security of maintenance tools, parts, and supplies.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Work in a safe manner at all times and follow all company safety rules and guidelines.
- Proper PPE Usage while performing all job duties.
- Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- 1 year groundskeeping or related experience
- Proficient in using manual and power tools safely
- Free from allergies that interfere with duties
- Ability to follow instructions
- Able to complete tasks with limited supervision.
This person is expected to perform work outside and on the manufacturing floor/environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
This is a full-time position.
