Responsibilities
The incumbent demonstrates competency in patient care for neonate pediatric adult and geriatric patients. The incumbent will perform arterial punctures continuous ventilation airway maintenance emergency care infection control isolation procedures maintenance and operation of mechanical ventilators cardiopulmonary resuscitation aerosolized medication delivery for the treatment of pulmonary disease and medical gas administration. The incumbent will access the medications from the medication storage unit and the nurse servers in the patient care areas. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested in professional manner.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Completion of an AMA-approved respiratory therapy program
- Current California Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required
- Two (2) years of acute care experiences with one (1) year of critical care experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications though the American Heart Association (AHA) required based on facility requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current California Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license preferred
