Woodland Manor Nursing and Rehab – Elkhart, IN
Are you passionate about creating meaningful and engaging experiences for seniors? Woodland Manor Nursing and Rehab is seeking a dedicated Activities Director to join our skilled nursing facility in Elkhart, IN. In this role, you’ll plan, organize, and oversee activity programs that nurture the emotional, recreational, and social needs of our residents.
Shift:
- Full-Time, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends as needed
Pay Rate:
- $18 per hour

### Key Responsibilities
- Plan and Execute Activities: Develop a monthly calendar of events, including movies, games, parties, crafts, and outings tailored to residents' interests.
- Assess Resident Needs: Regularly meet with residents and families to understand and support their spiritual, social, and emotional needs.
- Promote Engagement: Encourage residents to participate in activities that enhance physical, mental, and educational well-being.
- Ensure Compliance: Collaborate with nursing supervisors to align activities with physician orders and resident care plans.
- Resident Services: Fulfill resident shopping requests and assist with managing the smoking program.
- Facilitate Meetings: Organize and lead monthly resident council meetings to ensure residents' voices are heard.
- Recordkeeping: Document resident activities in the PCC (PointClickCare) system.

### Qualifications
- Preferred Experience: Certified Activity Director with experience in long-term care or prior experience working under a Certified Activity Consultant.
- Certification: NCCAP certification preferred or willingness to complete an Activity Director Course to obtain certification.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with a passion for enhancing residents' quality of life.
