- Organize and track event inventory, ensuring necessary supplies and equipment are available.
- Coordinate the storage, maintenance, and repair of event-related equipment.
- Coordinate rental equipment and maintain relationships with vendors.
- Act as a secondary point of contact for event-related needs during setup, event duration, and teardown.
- Collaborate with event labor teams and other support personnel to ensure smooth execution.
- Follow and enforce established safety protocols during installations.
- Assist in obtaining necessary permits for event installations.
- Work with the Events Installation Manager to share event details with relevant zoo departments.
- Assist in mapping event layouts, determining equipment placement, and setting up standard lighting and fencing.
- Work with the Creative Services team to coordinate event signage.
- Support the Events Operations Lead with lighting and power planning.
- Maintain accurate records of event setups, inventory updates, and operational notes.
- Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) for event installations.
- Coordinate orders and installation of outside equipment rentals for major events
Ability to speak a language in addition to English.
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in event production, logistics, installation, project management, or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience collaborating across departments and working with external vendors.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and event permitting processes.
- Flexible schedule availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Successful applicants must live and work in Washington State to perform this role.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a valid WA driver's license with a safe driving history.
