Description
Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Inside Sales Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of the lumber and building materials industry, particularly in relation to the bidding process, new home construction, and remodeling projects. Proficiency with the Bistrack point of sale system and a comprehensive understanding of Woodson Lumber's operations and delivery systems are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide expert advice on lumber and building materials for new home construction and remodeling projects.
- Manage the entire sales process from initial inquiry to order fulfillment, ensuring a smooth and satisfactory customer experience.
- Thorough knowledge of stock and non-stock items that Woodson Lumber has access to purchase.
- Prepare and follow up on sales quotations and bids, demonstrating a thorough understanding of the bidding process.
- Utilize the Bistrack point of sale system for order entry, inventory management, and customer account maintenance.
- Collaborate with the dedicated outside sales team, dispatch, and operations teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers.
- Stay informed about industry trends, product knowledge, and market conditions to effectively address customer inquiries and provide solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, and other trades.
- Act as the second-level contact person for outside sales representatives, providing additional support and assistance in managing customer accounts and resolving issues.
- Meet and exceed sales targets and performance metrics.
- Assist in resolving customer issues and complaints promptly and effectively.
- Manage in-bound sales calls from non-established customers.
- Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inside sales, preferably in the lumber and building materials retail industry.
- In-depth understanding of the bidding process, new home construction, and remodeling projects.
- Proficiency with the Bistrack point of sale system is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Woodson Lumber's operations and delivery/dispatch systems is an advantage.
- Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of customer service orientation.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software relevant to the role.
