What are the responsibilities and job description for the AM Restaurant Host position at Woody's Ocean Grille?
Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant.
- Escort guests to their assigned tables or waiting areas.
- Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials.
- Assist in seating arrangements to ensure efficient use of dining space.
- Manage reservations and maintain accurate seating charts.
- Answer phone calls and provide information to callers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Take and relay messages for restaurant staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station.
- Assist in coordinating with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience using OpenTable and Toast POS or similar restaurant point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong phone etiquette and the ability to handle high call volumes.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations and procedures.
- Outstanding customer service skills with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
