Dog Care Sales Associate

Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming Ashley Park in Newnan, GA, is looking for a vibrant, friendly, motivated, and professional Retail Sales Associate with previous retail experience to join our pack! The ideal candidate will have great compassion for dogs, a strong commitment to customer service, excellent communication skills, and strong attention to detail.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Service:

• Deliver superior customer service to all customers with a “customer comes first” attitude and connecting with customers while maximizing sales.
• Greet customers warmly and assist them with product selection and inquiries.
• Develop exceptional relationships with customers and their pets.
• Provide knowledgeable advice on pet products and grooming services.
• Handle customer transactions and payments efficiently.

Sales and Product Knowledge:

• Stay informed about the features, benefits, and pricing of products and grooming services.
• Promote current sales, special offers, and loyalty programs to customers.
• Upsell products and services when appropriate to meet customer needs.
• Actively support securing company assets through effective Loss Prevention in compliance with company policies and procedures.

Grooming Coordination and Scheduling:

• Answer phone and schedule grooming appointments and provide customers with information on grooming services.
• Liaise with the grooming team to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Check-in/check-out all grooming customers.
• Record notes on the customer's grooming service requests.

Store Maintenance:

• Ensure the entire store is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
• Keep store clean of doggie accidents, dust & dog hair.
• Deep clean the grooming areas and common areas.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and store environment.
• Restock shelves and displays as needed, ensuring products are neatly arranged.
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving shipments and checking stock levels.

Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with other team members to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on store operations and product knowledge.
• Create and maintain personal clientele info with regular communication and customer follow-up and attend company-related community events.

Problem-Solving:

• Respond to customer needs and special requests.
• Address customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally, seeking guidance from the Store Manager or Owner when necessary.

Miscellaneous Duties:

• Open and close the store.
• Decorate the store during holidays or special events.
• Assist with special events, promotions, and community outreach activities as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager to support store operations.
• Follow all operational policies and procedures, including but not limited to safety and security.
• Protect the Woof Gang Bakery brand message and philosophies by maintaining a clean and professional appearance and friendly attitude.
• Additional duties/responsibilities may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must love dogs!
• Reliable team player with a positive attitude and great work ethic!
• Previous retail experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Passion for pets and a basic understanding of pet care.
• Must have reliable transportation.

SKILLS:

• Customer-focused with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal communication and written skills.
• Like working with people and understands how to create an exceptional customer experience.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions.
• Basic computer skills using Google Drive and various apps.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Comfortable working in a pet-friendly environment with dogs and other animals.
• Ability to work weekends and weekdays.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
