*This is a Work Experience (work-based learning) position available through Workforce Solutions Coastal Bend. All candidates will be considered after program eligibility is determined.
BHP Engineering and Construction is seeking administrative assistants to support our office manager. Will consider both full-time and part-time candidates. The candidates would work under the direction and supervision of the office manager and must be willing to learn and complete the following tasks:
· MUST have a valid driver's license and personal vehicle
· MUST Pass DRUG TEST, & background check
· Answers company mainline phone and take messages, addresses all incoming calls in a polit and professional manner
· Maintains company vehicle log
o Enters weekly mileages in (22) car files
o Updates Vehicle Logs
· Capable of making copies of documents and preparing fedex/UPS shipments
· Scan documents
· Enters receipts and then files receipts in an timely and organized manner
· Document shredding as needed
· Restocks office supply cabinets, and monitors supplies for additional orders
· Assist with coordination and setup of any office events/meetings/luncheons
· Order food for arrival for office meetings
· Assist the office manager with other clerical tasks as needed such as preparing resumes, formatting documents, creating spreadsheets, and completing research as needed
· Light office cleaning including daily:
o Wipes down kitchen counters
o Empty and clean coffee machine
o Cleans bathrooms
o Collect trash from office and throws trash
