What You'll Do
As a Benefits Analyst, you will manage the Leave of Absence program from start to finish for World Market associates across our stores, distribution centers and corporate office. You will also be responsible for benefits-related components including Disability Insurance, Life Insurance, and COBRA. The Benefits Analysts works closely with Human Resource partners, HRIS, Payroll, internal management, and vendors, while providing excellent customer service to all World Market associates.
- Oversee third party leave of absence vendor program process and communications.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert on leaves of absence and related programs, and collaborate closely with management partners regarding their leave cases.
- Be a trusted resource for associates throughout the leave of absence process.
- Oversee the leave of absence life cycle including the coordination of benefits and payments, disability coverage, and COBRA.
- Analyze plans and processes and stay informed of benefits trends and regulatory changes. Drive and implement updates and improvements.
- Ensure data accuracy across vendors, HRIS, payroll and benefits systems.
- Manage vendor payments and process in a timely manner.
- Create educational materials and opportunities for associates and management partners.
- Support department initiatives such as corporate and wellness events.
What You'll Bring
- 2-3 years’ experience administering a multi-state Leave of Absence program and working with a payroll/HRIS system
- Experience administering disability insurance, life insurance, and COBRA preferred
- Great attention to detail, along with strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Familiar with Excel functionality, HRIS and payroll systems, and the ability to create reports for analysis
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with all levels of the organization
- Works effectively and positively with others, emphasizing sensitivity, confidentiality and a high level of customer service
- Excellent organizational skills, and sense of urgency with the ability to handle multiple competing priorities
- Knowledge of leave of absence and benefits-related laws and regulations including FMLA, CFRA, PDL, ADA required
- Understanding of laws and regulations such as ERISA, HIPAA, IRS Section 125, and COBRA
