The Warehouse Ramp Service Agent (Express Division) plays an important part of our world-leading Express operation starting at $16.50/Hr. You will be working around different aircraft types. With a focus on safety and attention to detail, you will be responsible for completing various aspects of ramp service functions, including transferring, loading, and unloading freight and cargo containers from aircrafts, sorting mail, loose load with and without mechanical assistance.
Your main job duties may include (but not limited to):
- Loading and unloading cargo/mail containers on and off aircraft.
- Sorting and loading loose mail and express courier parcels.
- Performing ground service functions, such staging Ground Power Units, Airstart units, A/C Carts, Crew Stairs, tail stands;
- Operating ground handling equipment for the loading and unloading of Airbus A300, Boeing B757, and Boeing B767, B747, MD11 cargo aircrafts, feeder aircrafts;
- Load/unload pallets of freight using deck loaders, belt loaders, tugs, dollies and forklifts;
- Transport freight containers between aircraft and air terminals, air cargo facilities, and other aircraft, load and unload feeder trailers;
- De-icing and clearing aircraft windshields, as weather conditions require.
- Performing aircraft pushout/two and related guide man functions.
- Perform routine cleaning of work areas, ramps, and facilities.
- Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags;
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional and effective approach to high-stress situations;
- Remaining cognizant of WFS staff, security contractors, and visitors’ activities, reporting security breaches, suspicious occurrences, or non-compliance with the site security plan;

- Ability to successfully communicate with others.
- Ability to work in a high-noise level environment.
- Ability to understand and react to verbal commands and safety warnings, with and without, assistance of sight or visual aids.
- Pull, push, and lift bags, boxes weighing up to 70 lbs. onto or from a conveyor belt, etc.
- De-ice aircraft at heights of up to 20 - 80 ft. lifting and holding nose, spray exterior of wings and fuselage with glycol.
- Ability to judge distances.
- Ability to confront and question unauthorized personnel in secured areas, and report their presence to authorities as necessary.
- Reports to work on a regular and timely basis.
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends (i.e. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, holidays and days off.
- Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.
