Description
Job description: The position will work with and report directly to the Shipping Manager. Warehouse activities include all order fulfillment processes associated with our website sales, product warehousing and storage and facility maintenance. The primary responsibility of this position is to pull, pack and ship product orders. Other responsibilities include inventory storage and cycle counting procedures.
This is a full-time position, with the following shifts available:
Friday – Tuesday
Saturday – Wednesday
Sunday – Thursday
The essential job functions of the warehouse associate position will include but will not be limited to:
- Pull orders assigned by pick ticket system
- Consolidate and pack multiple piece orders
- Stock inventory shelves with finished goods
- Consolidate inventory shelves, as needed
- Construction of boxes to be used for shipping and storage purposes and breakdown of used cardboard for recycling purposes
- Participate in daily cycle counts
- Assist with general facility maintenance, cleaning and other daily operations, as needed
Experience/Skills required:
- Experience on Forklift Trucks and/or Order Picker Lift Trucks is a PLUS but not required.
- Computer literate, competent use of a scan wedge/barcode scanner and mouse
- Strong attention to detail; tenacity to ensure accuracy of all assignments completed
- Ability to accept direction and work independently following standardized procedures and instructions received
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Good organizational and time management skills
- High school level math and reading skills
- Physically able to climb ladders and stairs used for product picking, binning and storage
- Physically able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
- Must be able to provide own transportation to and from work
