Worldwide Logistics Ltd is looking for an experienced logistics coordinator with a domestic background. As a Logistics Coordinator you will work with internal sales/pricing staff, our curated list of vendors and offices across the globe in order to make each international shipment a success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as a primary account coordinator for all contracted transportation needs for assigned clients.
- Coordinate and oversee drayage operations, including the transportation of goods between ports, warehouses, distribution centers, and customer-designated locations.
- Communicate with assigned clients on a daily basis in support of client transportation needs.
- Maintain accurate client order information in TMS and/or other operational tools or databases.
- Monitor carrier performance, including TMS usage and EDI compliance.
- Serve as the backup Logistics Planner for other accounts if required.
- Support all freight invoice audits and reviews as needed, assist in resolving billing exceptions.
- Compile and publish monthly account service performance reports.
- Support after-hours/weekend operational transportation issues for assigned clients as required (optional)
Qualifications
- 1-2 years in logistics, supply chain, business administration, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Strong understanding of logistics processes, including drayage, truckload, transfer orders, and Purchase Order receipts.
- Prior experience in logistics coordination or related roles is a plus.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Enterprise ERP systems is preferred (but not required).
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and requirements is a plus (preferred but not required).
- Familiarity with logistics management software and tools is preferred (but not required)
