We're bridging two worlds, moving towards more sustainable energy sources, while helping to provide the energy, chemicals and resources needed now.

At Worley, we are delivering sustainable change by helping our customers transition to more environmentally conscious solutions while ensuring the energy, chemicals, and resources sectors continue to meet the world's current needs. The BIC Coordinator is a site-based leadership position responsible for managing start-up, facility operations, and cleanliness coordination on large-scale industrial projects.

This role supports Worley's purpose of delivering a more sustainable world by ensuring safe, efficient, and clean commissioning of assets. By integrating specialized cleanliness protocols with start-up operations, the role drives operational integrity, asset longevity, and environmental compliance-key outcomes for Worley's ambition to lead in sustainability solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all start-up and facility operations to ensure safe, timely, and environmentally responsible project execution.

  • Develop and implement detailed start-up plans and cleanliness protocols that align with project specifications, operational requirements, and sustainability targets.

  • Oversee all cleanliness-related activities from fabrication through commissioning to maintain the highest standards in piping and equipment.

  • Supervise specialized cleaning operations, including high-velocity air-based cleaning and flushing in fabrication yards and on-site installations.

  • Operate and manage advanced equipment such as high-velocity air jets and integrated camera inspection systems to verify cleanliness.

  • Perform inspections using camera technology and industry standards to validate cleanliness benchmarks throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Review complex design documents and recommend changes that enhance operability, cleanliness, and long-term integrity.

  • Ensure rigorous safety compliance in all start-up and cleanliness-related activities, fostering a culture of safety and accountability.

  • Manage documentation and reporting related to start-up progress, cleanliness inspections, and compliance with industry standards.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and quality assurance teams to coordinate schedules and align cleanliness and operational goals.

  • Identify and implement improvements in cleaning efficiency, safety, and effectiveness, contributing to continuous improvement and sustainable execution.

  • Communicate effectively with senior leadership and stakeholders, presenting updates, risks, and recommendations clearly and concisely.

  • Mentor, develop, and lead project teams in alignment with Worley's inclusive, safety-first, and innovation-driven culture.

Qualifications / Skillset
  • University degree in engineering, operations, or a related technical discipline; equivalent experience also considered.

  • Extensive site-based leadership experience managing start-up operations and cleanliness coordination on large capital projects in energy, chemicals, or resource sectors.

  • Deep knowledge of commissioning workflows, operational readiness, and industrial cleaning protocols specific to piping and process equipment.

  • Proven ability to operate specialized equipment such as high-velocity air cleaning tools and camera-based inspection systems.

  • Strong leadership capability with a track record of delivering projects that meet safety, performance, and cleanliness benchmarks.

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate across cross-functional teams and manage operational complexities in fast-paced environments.

  • Proficiency in planning, implementing, and improving field-level systems and processes to support safe and effective project delivery.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
