What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Worker position at Wraparound Services of the Hudson Valley?
Permanent position to begin immediately to provide general maintenance and repairs to our buildings, equipment and vehicles located throughout Ulster County.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in all aspects of general maintenance.
- Knowledge of building functions including painting/taping, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and mechanical skills.
- Possession of a clean, valid driver’s license is required.
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds over shoulder height, as necessary.
- Able to climb/descend ladder to reach higher level or perform activity above base level.
- Frequently ascend/descend stairs or crawl to access tight spaces, as needed.
- Able to work in varying environments including adverse outdoor weather conditions.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Able to work independently or as part of a team to complete assigned project.
- Complete all assigned work orders in a timely fashion and leave work area cleaned up.
- Perform basic painting, carpentry, electrical and plumbing projects, and repairs.
- Gather and/or purchase all necessary materials to complete maintenance projects.
- Communicate maintenance problems and concerns that might exist at any Wraparound sites/facilities to the immediate supervisor.
- Move or relocate agency equipment or vehicles, as directed.
- General building and grounds maintenance.
- Emergency trouble shooting at any Wraparound sites/facilities.
- Minor vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Special construction and repair projects.
- Assist in inspections of all Wraparound sites/facilities.
- Participate in on-call rotation.
- Frequently lift materials or equipment up to 100 pounds across workspaces as needed.
- Computer-based tasks to track and document maintenance projects.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
