JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Ensuring resident safety and wellness at all times;
· Maintaining accurate time sheets, note taking, documentation and staff checklist completion;
· Light housekeeping to ensure homes are kept clean and organized during shifts;
· Transporting residents to and from programs and activities;
· Maintaining professional communications and interactions with all parties including residents, parents and other staff;
· Facilitating residents during life skills training such as personal wellness (gym time), laundry skills, personal hygiene, cooking, cleaning and other skills training;
· Conducting Quality Assurance Checklists during shifts; and,
· Other tasks associated with the care and safety or WILO NJ residents as deemed necessary by direct
supervisor.
HOURS:
Saturday & Sunday 9am-9pm
Tues & Wed 3/3:30pm-9pm
Occasional overnight coverage for additional stipend.
The above hours are needed, with weekends being priority.
Options to work additional hours may be available.
Ideal candidates will live within close proximity to Maplewood, NJ.
At least 1 year experience working with adults with special needs required.
Current driving license and clean driving record required (less than 5 points), along with driving abstract.
Having your own means of transportation. If ever using your own vehicle to transport residents, mileage reimbursement will be provided to you at $0.24 per mile.

A background check, drug testing, and staff mandatory trainings in CPR, Danielle's Law, Stephen Kominos Law, Incident reporting, Prevention of abuse, neglect & exploitation and other trainings mandated by the Division of Developmental Disabilities are required.
