JOB DESCRIPTION
Residential Counselor (RC)
Compensation: 35,500K per year Full-time, salaried w/benefits
Duties include: Direct Support position assisting 2 to 3 residents in a WILO NJ managed home. Ensuring resident safety, care, welfare, and security at all times. Completing daily shift and task sheets, assisting in coordination of outside resident services (ie: sports, recreation, self-care, therapies, etc.). Facilitating residents with menu planning, food shopping, home cleanliness, medication and scheduling of non-medical appointments.
Meal preparation assistance, administrative tasks such as filing, organizing, research, service delivery documentation and data entry, phone accessibility and positive communication with families, including communications with other members of the WILO NJ village which may include day programs, therapists, counselors, and other village members. Responsible for ensuring cleaning supplies, toiletries and that the home’s daily needs are available for housekeeping through weekly grocery shopping. Other tasks associated with the care and safety of WILO NJ residents as deemed necessary by direct supervisor. Maintaining CDS modules and Direct Support Professional credentials (as mandated by DDD) and attending WILO NJ employee trainings and staff meetings.
Hours: Sun-Thurs, 2:00pm-9pm (approx. 35-40 hours per week)
