What are the responsibilities and job description for the Consumer Loan Processor I or II position at WSECU Washington State Employees Credit Union?
As a Processor in our Consumer Loan Processing department, you’ll provide quality service through responsive and positive interactions with staff, vendors, dealers, and members. You’ll be a liaison between the member consultants, members, underwriters, and dealers where you’ll be responsible for reviewing and preparing indirect and direct loan files to ensure accuracy and completion of supporting documents, as well as compliance and underwriting guidelines. Your day may include: Providing the initial loan quality review for Member Consultants; providing a feedback loop and training as needed Verifying and updating accuracy of data input into multiple loan origination systems (LOS): CUDL, Symitar, and Image Retrieval Reviewing and verifying documentation integrity to ensure it algins with findings, completeness, and compliance Assessing initial loan files for missing documentation and assisting the dealer with member follow up Preparing loan documents for all consumer loans; visa, vehicles, vessels, personal loans, and lines of credit Assuring quality member service through responsive interactions with members, dealers, and frontline staff Entering loan data in LOS and uploading supporting documents to the imaging system Reviewing and establishing values on collateral secured loans to ensure it fits within loan to value ratios; calculating short fund or recommended re-contracts Ensuring accurate disbursement of new loans to member’s account Ensuring loans are within lending guidelines, operating procedures and regulations prior to funding Verifying new members according to BSA Researching fraud alerts on credit reports and verifying member personal identifying information to mitigate risk and loss due to fraud Reviewing all documents submitted to satisfy and clear underwriting stipulations Reviewing and analyzing income calculations including tax returns, paystubs, W2, award letters, etc What you bring to the team: For Consumer Loan Processor I: Competitive pay for Consumer Loan Processor I: $20.86 – $31.29 per hour, dependent on relevant qualifications plus an annual discretionary incentive plan and benefits package The target starting pay for this position is $20.86- $26.07 per hour, typically within the first half of the range. Actual offers will be based on individual qualifications relevant to the role and will not take an applicant’s pay history into account. Minimum two (2) years of financial institution experience, with preference given for experience in the consumer lending operating area A high level of language comprehension, math and reasoning skills are required Discretion in decision making and using sound judgment in problem solving and ability to calculate figures, interest rates and percentages Ability to work individually and part of a team Maintain a professional image and professional presentation in appearance Ability to work efficiently and maintain accountability for production efforts For Consumer Loan Processor II: Competitive pay for Consumer Loan Processor II: $23.29 – $34.94 per hour, dependent on relevant qualifications plus an annual discretionary incentive plan and benefits package The target starting pay for this position is $23.29- $29.12 per hour, typically within the first half of the range. Actual offers will be based on individual qualifications relevant to the role and will not take an applicant’s pay history into account. Minimum Three (3) years of financial institution experience, with preference given for experience in consumer lending operating area Ability to work efficiently and maintain accountability for production efforts Discretion in decision making and using sound judgement in problem solving and ability to calculate figures, interest rates and percentages Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking to make independent decisions Bonus points if you have: Preferred Technology experience with Symitar, MeridianLink, CUDL, Image Center, Applications Xtender, SharePoint, Fresh Services **WSECU is currently hiring a Consumer Loan Processor I or II depending on qualifications** The range above allows our employees room for growth through annual merit and other pay increase during their tenure in the position. Where we’re located: 330 Union Ave SE, Olympia, WA 98501. Employee must reside and perform all work in the state of Washington. This is a work from home/hybrid position with the exception of occasional on-site training, meetings and specific organization events When you’d work: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am–6:00 pm and Saturday 9:15 am–2:15 pm. Full time minimum 40 hours per week, with scheduling flexibility required to meet business needs.
