Overview:
As a Visual Merchandiser Team Lead at WSS, your Neighborhood Shoe Store, you will combine management and merchandising responsibilities, focusing on training store associates to effectively display merchandise to maximize sales potential. You’ll oversee the presentation of footwear, apparel, accessories, and marketing initiatives to create an engaging store environment. You will be the expert in product knowledge, assisting your team to deliver exceptional service. By promoting a culture of one-touch resolution, you'll be empowered to address customer needs quickly and effectively, ensuring a seamless and efficient shopping experience.
Responsibilities:
- Train store staff on visual merchandising principles and standards set forth by the company.
- Enforce all visual merchandising guidelines and standards?for footwear, apparel, and accessories within the retail space.
- Develop partnerships with store management team and identify any merchandise selection, allocation, pricing, and assortment issues
- Train and continually coach Service Team Members on best visual merchandising practices for all three categories: Apparel, Accessories, & Footwear
- Execute and manage all in-store marketing initiatives and events.
- Coach management team on identifying opportunities to maximize merchandising space within the store.
- Maintain a pleasing, clean store environment and the integrity of the WSS brand.
- Reporting: create store visit reports, capture “before” and “after” photos of visual presentations and report on any missed opportunities.
- The role requires the ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs., and stand or walk for 8 hours daily.
- Employees must climb ladders, maneuver boxes, and communicate effectively in person and on the phone while performing essential tasks.

Required Experience:
- Must be 18 years or older with a High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience in visual merchandising or retail, with a keen eye for creating attractive product displays.
- Previous retail, hospitality, or customer service experience a plus
- Available to work flexible hours, but not limited to weekends, holidays and occasional overnights.
