Worksite Location: NCAT Campus

This position is a Full-time Exempt level position, as defined by policy to mean working a minimum of 40 hours per week. The primary responsibility of an Instructor is to provide the coordination, planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related activities. The instructor is responsible for performing the duties in the assigned instructional modality (hybrid, online or face to face) during the day, evening, or weekend on any WSU Tech) campus/off-campus/on-line location. At a minimum, the related activities include instruction, instructional counseling, academic planning, serving on various committees, recruiting, participating in local, state, regional, and national professional activities and organizations as needed. An instructor performs all duties as directed by the Program Director, Associate Dean, Dean, Academic Vice President, or the President.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to:
- Creates and/or uploads an appropriate course syllabus for each course to the Learning Management System.
- Keeps students informed and updated concerning course content, requirements, evaluation procedures and attendance requirements.
- Maintains industry credentials as appropriate to the teaching area.
- Develops, revises, and/or recommends curriculum changes which meet the objectives of the course/program and improve student learning.
- Fully participates in, utilizes and submits when due program review information, assessment data, and course/college evaluations.
- Develops, and maintains a positive relationship with program Industry Advocate Teams (IAT)
Education:
- Associate Degree or higher, preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years’ full time (or full time equivalent) current progressive work experience in aviation maintenance required.
- Qualifications required for mandatory program accreditation.
- Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic Certificate, required.
- Extensive experience with the following preferred:
- FAA/FAR Part 147 requirements
- General Aviation Maintenance
- Previous teaching or training experience in adult education preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – must be able to work with students, technical and administrative personnel in a pleasant, professional, and efficient manner.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficient knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
- Ability to use personal computer and software applications.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
