JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES
This position includes responsibilities in several aspects of Supply Chain operations. The role combines data entry and administrative tasks along with hands-on application in areas of receiving, inventory, purchasing and shipping. The position provides backup and support to other members of the Supply Chain team.
- Physically receive materials on the dock, verify counts and process receiving transactions in JobBoss ERP Software
- Material Handling & Inventory Support - shelve materials to stock, transfer bin locations and issue materials to jobs as required
- Assist in picking and staging materials for job orders
- Pack materials for shipment and process outbound small package and freight shipments
- Process purchase order requisitions as requested
- Follow up on open purchase orders to confirm delivery dates
- Scan documents to file
- Assist, support and provide backup coverage for all Supply Chain team members
- Understand and execute supply chain activities such as cycle counting, physical inventory count, material demand, job order entry and purchase order entry
- Cooperate with program managers, shop floor personnel, business development, engineering and supply chain to provide material delivery dates and sales order shipping information
- Maintain and update ERP to ensure a high level of inventory accuracy
JOB SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
- Hands-on experience in an area of supply chain including: shipping, receiving, inventory control, manufacturing or materials management preferred
- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software, and/or Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Software preferred
- Purchasing or planning experience is a plus
- Ability to collaborate with others as well as work independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills (e.g. Outlook, ERP Systems)
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to lift/move 50 lbs
- Ability to operate a pallet jack, hand truck/dolly and weigh scale
- Ability to shrink wrap and band pallets for shipment
- Fork truck experience preferred
