We are looking for a highly skilled Accounting Manager to join our team and manage the financial aspects of our commercial construction company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting within the construction industry, proficiency in Foundation construction software, and a commitment to accuracy and detail.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure accuracy and reconciliation of check register, GL, AP, and AR monthly.
- Perform GL reconciliations including journal entries, monthly and yearly close processes.
- Manage and reconcile construction-specific accounts, such as Work In Progress
- (WIP), Progress Billings, and Retainage.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, including WIP, profit and loss, balance sheets, and cashflow statements.
- Monitor and control daily and monthly cash requirements, management, and cash control processes.
- Prepare and submit monthly sales tax.
- Collaborate with senior management and Project Managers to review construction project costs and financial performance.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial performance and project success.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior and executive management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, economics, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction accounting or financial management.
- Strong understanding of construction accounting principles (e.g., WIP,
- percentage of completion method).
- Advanced understanding of construction industry financial practices and regulations, including sales tax.
- Proficient in Foundation Accounting software experience is a plus but not required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.

Compensation/Benefits
- Compensation: $65,000.00 to $85,000.00

Salary : $65,000 - $85,000
