What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Assistant position at Wychmere Beach Club?
Wychmere Beach Club is seeking to hire a seasonal Purchasing Assistant. The Purchasing Assistant is responsible for assisting in the receiving, unloading, stocking, and delivery of goods across our resort property. A successful Purchasing Agent will be reliable, possess a strong work ethic, learn quickly, and be able to follow instructions from the Purchasing and Receiving Manager. This position will commonly interact with our vendors and the leaders of multiple departments at Wychmere.
Reports to: Purchasing Manager
Schedule: This position runs now through September; Part-time; 4 days per week, subject to change to meet business needs.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Purchasing, hotel, grocery, or restaurant experience is preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs on a regular basis
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to work in outdoor environments
- Must be able to climb stairs
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Weekends as needed
